Instalar Zend 5.5 en Gusty

1. Debes desomprimir el paquete ZendStudio que bajas del sitio de Zend
$ tar xvzf ZendStudio-5_5_0a.tar.gz

2. Ejecuta el archivo binario de la siguiente manera
$ sudo ./ZendStudio-5_5_0.bin

3. Si tienes habilitado compiz-fusion, veras todo Zend de gris, par lo siguiente encontre la solución en preguntaslinux.org
Edita el siguiente archivo.
$ sudo vim /etc/environment

Agrega esta la línea al final: AWT_TOOLKIT=”MToolkit”
Tu archivo podra quedar así.

PATH="/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/games"
LANG="es_MX.UTF-8"
AWT_TOOLKIT=”MToolkit”

Ahora debes reiniciar ubuntu y tendras listo Zend, este tutorial también sirve para Netbeans y ZendPlataform

Instalar Zend en Ubuntu Edgy

Instalando Zend-5.2.0 en Ubuntu Edgy, tuve algunos problemas al principio por que me devolvia la siguiente salida:

~$ ./ZendStudio-5_2_0.bin 

Preparing to install...
Extracting the JRE from the installer archive...
Unpacking the JRE...
Extracting the installation resources from the installer archive...
Configuring the installer for this system's environment...

Launching installer...

grep: error while loading shared libraries: libc.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
/tmp/install.dir.8313/Linux/resource/jre/bin/java: error while loading shared libraries: libpthread.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Pero encontre la solucion en los foros de Ubuntu y de Zend:
Tenemos que hacer lo siguiente:

# cp ZendStudio-5_2_0.bin ZendStudio-5_2_0.bin.bak

# cat ZendStudio-5_2_0.bin.bak | sed "s/export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL/#xport LD_ASSUME_KERNEL/" > ZendStudio-5_2_0.bin

# ZendStudio-5_2_0.bin
Preparing to install...
Extracting the JRE from the installer archive...
Unpacking the JRE...
Extracting the installation resources from the installer archive...
Configuring the installer for this system's environment...
awk: cmd. line:6: warning: escape sequence `\.' treated as plain `.'

Launching installer...

Si aún despues de instalarlo tienn problemas, ejecuten los siguientes comandos:

$ cd /usr/local/Zend/ZendStudioClient-5.1.0/bin

$ sudo cp ZDE ZDE.bak

$ sudo chmod 777 ZDE

$ sudo cat ZDE.bak | sed "s/export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL/#xport LD_ASSUME_KERNEL/" > ZDE

$ sudo chmod 755 ZDE

$ sudo rm ZDE.bak
